Hotel Rio Muralto is situated in a magnificent 19th century villa that was renovated in 2013 in order to return it to its original grandeur while offering modern comforts. It has a splendid facade, stylish stained-glass windows, ceiling paintings on the ground floor, an onyx reception desk and decorative mirrors from the historic Grand Hotel Locarno.

The hotel counts 16 twin rooms, 3 single rooms and 1 Junior Suite, all newly refurbished. One Superior room is adapted for people with reduced mobility. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar and free WiFi. A secure storage room to leave the bikes is available at the ground floor.

The hotel is 100% smoke free. Pets are not allowed. A limited number of parking places are available at the price of CHF 12.- per day.

The single rooms are all facing the train station. They have soundproof windows and one standard size single bed. Size 12 m²

Double room Economy with single beds

The double rooms Economy either are facing the train station and have a view of Lago Maggiore or are situated on the back side of the hotel. All the rooms feature single beds. Size 14 m²

Double room Comfort with single beds

The double rooms Comfort are either facing the train station and have a view of Lago Maggiore or are situated on the back side of the hotel. These rooms are bigger than the Economy rooms and are perfectly suited for longer stays.  All the rooms feature single beds. An extra bed or a baby cot may be added on request. Size 18m2

Double room Superior North side

The double rooms Superior North side are all situated on the back side of the hotel. This means these rooms are the quietest of the hotel.  All the rooms feature single beds. An extra bed or a baby cot may be added on request. Size 24 m²

Double room Superior with single beds

The double rooms Superior are very big and nice rooms. They are all facing the train station and have a view of Lago Maggiore. Some of these rooms also have balcony! One of these rooms is adapted to people with disabilities.  All the rooms feature single beds. An extra bed or a baby cot may be added on request. Size 24 m²

Junior Suite

The Junior Suite is the biggest room of the hotel. It is facing the train station. It is suitable for a family of four, since it also contains an extra bed and a sofa bed. All beds are single beds. A baby bed may be added on request. Size 43 m²
